TransAmerica Trail Experience Ride

TransAmerica Bicycle Trail Experience Ride April 24 & 25

The TransAmerica Bicycle Trail is called the “granddaddy of all bicycle routes” and crosses the United States from Astoria OR to Yorktown VA  on  4262 miles of our Nation’s most scenic byways. Join us on a 1 or 2 day ride for a hint of cross country bicycle touring on the TransAmerica  Bicycle Trail. We will promote a ‘Share the Road’ campaign while riding 80+ miles over 2 days from Johnson Shut-Ins State Park to Chester IL.  Join us in our efforts to foster a relationship between motorists and cyclists for safe cycling in our area.

Our experience will begin Saturday at Al’s Place Bike Hostel, corner of Franklin and Liberty, in Farmington MO where our bikes will be loaded into SAG vehicles for the transport to Johnson Shut-Ins State Park.  We will then pedal 40+ miles to Al’s Place over some of Missouri’s most beautiful rural roads.  That evening we will enjoy a catered BBQ dinner with friends and family at Al’s Place.  Sunday we will be greeted by a Pancake and Sausage breakfast before heading 40+ miles East toward Chester IL over the Mississippi River.   SAG vehicles will then transport you and your bike back to Al’s Place in Farmington.
