The Power of a Positive Attitude

 In this life, attitude is almost everything!  The big question for many of us, then, is how to keep a positive attitude in everything we do.  Positive thinking leads to positive attitude. Someone once said to me “don’t worry that your kids are listening to you, worry that they are watching you.”  How true that is. Positive feelings are the key to having that positive attitude at home or in the workplace.  You can’t be your best without the positive feelings about what it is you are actually doing.  This may require the “fake it to you make it” action.  Did you know that the way you think, day in day out, affects all aspects of your life? Learning to listen to your “self talk” will help you recognize your thought patterns and how they may be affecting the way you handle the stressful situations of daily living.

SAVE the Tour of Missouri

Details courtesy of Mr. Brent Hugh, Executive Director of the Missouri Bicycle and Pedestrian Federation:

Friday we held a news conference to announce that the legislature had given
final approval to a $1 million appropriation for the Tour of Missouri and
the Chairs of the two top budget committees had written a letter supporting
funding for the Tour of Missouri.

Despite all that, Governor Nixon’s office and the Division of Tourism are
still holding firm–NO FUNDING for the Tour of Missouri, they say.

The only thing that can turn the tide is the same thing that turned it last
August when they said the same thing–if YOU, the citizens and voters,

May Club Meeting – Thursday, May 6

The May club meeting will take place on Thursday, May 6 at 6:30pm. The location is Bauhaus Kaffee in Farmington, MO.

Parkland Cyclists Bike Rodeo – Saturday, May 15

Bicycle Rodeo has been canceled due to the weather.

We will look for a make up date. More information to come.

The Parkland Cyclists are once again hosting the areas only Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 15 from 8am – Noon. The rodeo will take place at Farmington Middle school at the corner of Flemming and Forster streets in Farmington, MO.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS. IF you would like to help please contact us I WANT TO HELP

Come and join in the activities for 3rd and 4th Graders. We will have a bicycle safety inspection station for all participants as well as prizes and an obstacle course. There will be a bicycle giveaway!!
